Too Much Information (TMI) Tweets
The widespread accessibility of the internet and the “information revolution” that it fostered had created a way for people to communicate their thoughts, actions and ideas in ways that were inconceivable just a few short years ago. The website Twitter.com allows users to “tweet”, or send short messages, that the site posts instantly for readers around the world to see.
Unfortunately for some people, the ability to pass on what goes on in their lives does not frequently come with a filter for content or appropriateness. Many of these “tweets” contain information of a personal or prurient nature. Some users have labeled these messages as “TMI”, or “Too Much Information”.
Just as many celebrities have been guilty of “oversharing” their lives through their Twitter pages, numerous poker players have also put out information on a worldwide stage that may have been better kept to themselves.
Lee Childs: “Bummer. My new chin-up bar arrived today. Pretty much out of excuses for starting P90X.”
Jonathan Little: “Chill weekend ahead. Going to tax guy, chiropractor, subway for meatball sub, home for video games, then Aria to pretend to be tourist.”
Lacey Jones: “Mooned a full intersection filling my car w gas. Windy day + summer dress. Will I ever learn?!”
Beth Shak: “My cat is starting daily Thyroid meds N blood work every 2 wks @ 17yrs old. I'm happy its not cancer or diabetes. Aww.”
Adam “Roothlus” Levy: “Decided to eat lunch on my balcony before another day of grinding”
Alex Outhred: “Eating dinner at 7pm, sleeping at 12am, waking up at 7am is no different upon the body as doing 11pm/4am/11am”
Doyle “Texas Dolly” Brunson: “(To Jean-Robert Bellande) I understand you have a great sex life. I also understand you are looking for a lady to share it with:-)”
